I know what you’re thinking: Why on earth would anyone post an air conditioner meme on Reddit?
It’s pretty hard to imagine.
And yet, there it is.
The air conditioners of the internet are a big hit.
As Reddit user wadaflood points out, the internet has been obsessed with air conditioning for quite a while now.
It’s become a meme staple, and even a feature on some social media sites.
But as wadflood says, the memes have only grown since then.
He’s referring to the meme “The Genie” which was created last year by Reddit user /u/sabel_d.
In the meme, the Genie has a pair of large air conditionors, one on top of a small, black one on the ground.
He can be seen wearing a red shirt with an orange tie and holding an orange-and-black umbrella.
(It’s also been retweeted more than 30,000 times.)
In one image posted on March 15, 2018, /u/_sabelfood points to the original meme’s popularity as proof that the internet is a magnet for memes.

And I have a ton of air condition units.
/r/airconditionment has more than 1.3 million subscribers.
It started off as a single post, but it grew exponentially in popularity.
/s/ The Genie’s first poster, wadFlood.
/i/ The first Genie.
/m/ The second Genie.
That second Genie is currently the most popular, wADfLood says.
/t/ The third Genie.
Another popular meme, but the third is a bit more unique.
/b/ The fourth Genie.
And the fourth is just one of the many variations that have come along in the last couple of years.
The Genie has also been used in the comments section of /r/”I need air” and /r//i/ posts.
The popularity of the meme has been fueled by the popularity of other memes.
The meme “the genie” is another popular one.
It was created by /u//sabelo_gomez, /r/, and other users, and has been retweeting more than 250,000 Times.
A third of the comments on /u_sabels Genie were a response to the post, and a third were just about it.
/n/ The Genie’s most famous meme.
/p/ The genie meme has also received a lot of attention.
It has received over 8,000 retweets and more than 3,000 favorites.
And while there are plenty of air conditioning posters, the most-common one that has gained attention is the one posted by user /r/-d_d_.
That image has received more than 20,000 likes, as well as hundreds of comments.
But, as /u/-d is wont to do, it seems the meme’s creator is not very fond of the image.
In one Reddit post, the meme creator says that the Genie is just a “vague” reference to the classic Disney movie “The Little Mermaid.”
“I love Disney films, but they aren’t my favorite, and this image isn’t my first,” the creator says.
“I’m not a big fan of it, but I understand why people love it.
The genies are the first thing they see when they turn on the air conditioning and that’s the point of it.
They don’t realize how far out of their comfort zone this image is.”
/n/-d has since removed the Genie, though it hasn’t completely deleted the post.
The original poster has since commented to the /r/#1K9sabsabELrtIwGAE/ post that he will continue to post air condition memes for as long as he has air conditioning.
If the meme stays up, it’s likely that it will be used in more memes in the future.
And it’s a meme that has spread so far that now many of the air condition vents on your house are in use.
It may not be too far-fetched to think that a meme might someday catch on with the rest of the Internet, and that the meme could become a big thing.
But it won’t be until Reddit’s air condition meme community comes together and agrees to let other memes be used.
