DALLAS — A mystery has been bubbling up for air conditioning specialists and people who use it: A rare condition that affects people with asthma, allergies and chronic fatigue syndrome has affected hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
It’s called “dry eye syndrome,” and it’s not something that usually occurs in people with allergies or asthma.
But in a study published in the medical journal Neurology last week, scientists found a correlation between it and a type of air conditioning known as “air-conditioning sarasotra.”
The air conditioning sarasa is made of glass, and it cools and helps the body cool the air it’s breathing.
It’s also known to be the source of a rare condition called dry eye syndrome.
Dry eye syndrome occurs when the air conditioning system can’t regulate the amount of heat generated by the body, which is why it can cause discomfort.
The condition occurs in 1 in 8 people, according to a study conducted by researchers at the University of Southern California.
It affects people of all ages and races, and most of them are in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
It also affects some in developed countries like the U.S. and Canada.
Researchers believe dry eye has its roots in a lack of airflow, but the cause is unknown.
The condition has also been linked to other air conditioning problems, including allergies and autoimmune diseases.
“People who use air conditioning are more likely to be at risk for this condition,” said Dr. Stephen Langer, an associate professor of medicine at the USC School of Medicine and the study’s lead author.
“It’s very rare, but it can happen,” he said.
“It’s not uncommon to see dry eye patients who are complaining of symptoms like dizziness, difficulty concentrating, headaches, or shortness of breath.”

When you have a dry eye that’s caused by a system that doesn’t work properly, it can have an effect on how the system works, and that can have a profound impact on the person,” Dr. David Himmelstein, professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School and an air conditioning expert, told Fox News.
In the study, scientists analyzed air conditioning systems made by two companies, Deltas Therapeutics Inc. and Sarasota Therapeutic Solutions.
They found that in about 2% of air conditioners manufactured worldwide, a problem with airflow had been identified as a contributing factor.
The researchers also analyzed the air-conditioners manufactured by manufacturers of other types of air-condensing systems.
“What we found was that the airconditioners that were most commonly reported to be contributing to dry eye were the air condensers and the air vents,” Dr Langer said.
The researchers found that about 2.4% of the air cooling systems manufactured worldwide were reported to have problems with airflow.
In about 1% of those systems, problems were not identified, so it was unclear whether those issues were related to the condition or not.
The other 1.3% of devices reported to exhibit dry eye symptoms included air condition and air filter systems, the researchers said.
There was also a correlation among air conditioning equipment and air-temperature sensors in the systems that tested.
These sensors can record the air temperature of the system’s surroundings and use it to determine if the system is functioning properly.
Dr. Langer’s team found that while air conditioning was a contributing cause, there were other potential factors that contributed to dry eyes.
These included the type of system used and the amount and type of dust particles that were present in the system.
“Dust is an excellent source of allergens and bacteria,” Dr Himmels said.
“We’re looking at a lot of different environmental factors,” he explained.
“We’re also looking at things that are related to airflow, including dust particles, humidity and the temperature.
It might be that the dust particles and humidity can both affect airflow.”
