The Air Conditioning Industry Association of India (ACIA) is planning to hold a meeting on March 14 at which air conditioners certification will be discussed, ACIA chairman Anil Kumar said on Monday.
The association is planning a conference to discuss air conditioning certification with air conditionering companies and government agencies.
The meeting is to be held at the Air Conditioners and Air-conditioning (ACME) Department, said Kumar, adding that the association will be holding a public meeting.
Air conditioners, or air conditioning units, are air conditioned rooms in homes and offices, that are usually kept cool by a fan.
ACME is an industry association that represents air condition, heating and ventilation, and air conditioning equipment makers.
According to the ACME website, ACME was founded in 1990.
It has an estimated 15.3 million members across the country.
